品管圈在病案ICD编码中的应用

The Application of Quality Control Circle in The ICD Coding of Medical Records

目的降低病案ICD编码错误率,提高病案工作人员业务水平和管理效能。方法将品管圈活动应用于病案ICD编码工作中,按照品管圈活动的10个步骤实施各项活动,对比活动前、后ICD编码错误率,计算改善幅度,评价活动的有形成果与无形成果。结果开展品管圈活动后,工作人员编码错误例数明显减少,病案ICD编码错误率由活动前的24.57%降低到活动后的8.13%,改善幅度为66.90%。工作人员在品管圈活动手法运用、团队凝聚力、学习积极性、集体荣誉感等方面有明显提高。结论通过品管圈活动提高了工作人员的管理水平和工作技能,规范了工作步骤,降低了病案ICD编码错误率,从而提升了病案编码质量。

Objective To decrease the error rate of ICD coding of medical records and improve the performance level of medical records staff and their management efficiency. Method The quality control circle activities were applied in the ICD coding of medical records and all the activities were implemented according the ten steps approaches within the quality control circle. The coding error rates were compared between the data before and after the activity, and the improvement scale was calculated with the tangible results and intangible results assessed. Result After the application of quality control circle activities, the number of the cases with coding er- ror was decreased significantly and the ICD coding error rate was decreased from 24.57% before the activities to 8.13% after the practices with an improvement ratio of 66.90%. There were significant improvements in the usage of practices within the quality control circle activities by the staff, as well as team work, learning motivation and team respect. Conclusion The management level and working skill of the staff were improved by quality control circle activities, and the working procedures were standardized and er- ror rate of the ICD coding in the medical records was decreased, thus the quality of medical records coding was improved.
