Epidemic Disease Theory of ZHOU Yangjun

周扬俊,字禹锡,清代著名医家,于康熙十八年(公元1679年)著成《温热暑疫全书》四卷,依次论述温病、热病、暑病、疫病,其在疫病方面继承并发扬了吴有性的学术思想,同时辨证借鉴喻昌在疫病方面的观点,形成了自己对于疫病的独到见解,沿用以"疫"对疫病命名,认为"尸气"在疫病发生发展过程中有重要意义,提出疫病的致病特点在于"三焦混淆,内外无间,不分表里,直行中道",并强调"凡疫邪贵乎早下"的驱邪观点,对疫病的防治尤为重视。其诸多观点虽源于前人,但亦有可挖掘学习之处。

ZHOU Yangjun （Yuxi） ,a famous doctor in Qing dynasty,has completed the book named Wenre Shuyi Quanshu in Kangxi＇sl8 years （t679 AD） ,which respectively studied into expounded warm disease,heat disease, summer- heat disease and epidemic disease. ZHOU Yangjun inherited and developed WU Youxing＇s academic thinking while dialectically adopted the view- points of YU Chang, forming his unique opinions on epidemic disease. He continued to use Yi to name the epidemic disease, con- sidering corpse gas had important implications on occurring and developing of the epidemic diseases. He proposed that the patho- genesis characteristic of epidemic disease is three Jiao misunderstanding both inside and outside,directly in the middle way, re- gardless of interior and exterior, emphasized that itg highly valued to use purgation if there＇s evil Yi, and valued prevention and treatment of epidemic diseases. Though most of his viewpoints derives from predecessors, there＇s knowledge we can dig in and learn.
