摘要
为了更好地理解新闻语言所渗透的个人与媒体的态度,以马丁评价理论中的态度子系统为理论依据,分析了美国《时代》对中国的一篇报道中的隐性态度引发和激发的具体手段。结果表明:新闻话语的隐性态度将蕴含的意识形态埋伏于字里行间,以间接的手段传播新闻消息。识别了这种隐性态度标记有助于读者保持客观冷静的立场。
In order to better understand media or individual attitudes implied in news lan- guage, attitudinal system in Martin＇s appraisal theory was adopted to analyze the specific means for evoking and provoking implicit attitudes in an American ＂Time＂ report on Chi- na. Findings show that the implicit attitudinal messages in news presuppose typical ideolo- gy and hence indirectly spread news message. Identifying these tokens through the apprais- al mode would enable readers to maintain an objective stance while reading news.
