名1+名2复合词作为构建新词的重要手段,能产性强,英汉语中都有大量的名1+名2复合名词。名1+名2复合构词过程是语言表达经济性的体现,同时反映了人类感知及认识世界时构建意义的复杂过程。将英汉语名1+名2复合词进行对比研究,以形态、语义及语音三方面为基础分析构词理据,从中西思维方式入手,探求形成差异的内在原因,旨在提高英语词汇教学效率,同时为对外汉语教学提供启发。

As an important method of coinage, NI＋N2 compounds are very productive. Being prevalent in both English and Chinese languages, N1 ＋ N2 compounds reflect the economic principle of language as well as the complex cognitive process of meaning construction. The paper aims to make a contrastive study of NI＋N2 compounds in English and Chinese languages, analyzing the word-formation motivation of N1 ＋N2 compounds from word form, semantical and phonetic perspectives. The goal is to explore the underlying factors of the differences from the angle of thinking patterns and to improve the teaching efficiency of English vocabulary in both TESOL and TCSOL.
