摘要
研究英语语音合成系统超前端文本分析所需知识库的构建和扩充方法。语音合成系统在语音播报等领域已经得到了广泛应用。但是在英语多媒体教学领域,还需解决偶尔出现的发音错误问题。由于内置知识库覆盖面不足,目前必须通过人工处理输入的文本,消除发音错误。人工分析和处理的速度及效率制约了语音合成系统在英语教学领域的应用。在英语词汇知识库的支持下,利用计算机辅助文本分析技术,对输入文本中的词语进行筛选和分类,找出产生发音错误的单词或符号,经扩展、转换或标注处理,可使优秀的英语语音合成系统达到教学和训练的要求。
TTS or speech synthesis technology has been widely used in services and digital products such as automated telecom services, reading and communication aids to the visually impaired and to those who have lost their ability to speak, and announcement systems. However, the mainstream adoption of TTS in multimedia English teaching has been severely limited by the fact that TTS synthesizers mispronounce words occasionally and manual correction is inefficient. This research explores ways of constructing and updating the external lexical knowledge bases to support the computer-aided analysis and process of the input text prior to the TTS front-end text processing. The knowledge bases help to classify and detect the words or symbols which need to be expanded or converted in the input text to avoid pronunciation mistakes so that top quality TTS applications can be used in English teaching and training.
