During six dynasties period textile industry in the area south of Changjiang river was one of the fundamental trades merely next to agriculture,but different sectors within this trade were uneven in development because of providing of raw material,technological level,social fashion and so on.The fact is that bast-fiber(includes ko hemp,hemp,ramie,and flax)weaving skill progressed continuously,silk weaving rised generally,and cotton-weaving emerged locally.But on the whole this area still could not match with north China in weaving skill.
