Discussion on Type Selection of Electric Instruments,Equipment and Materials Used in Dry and Hot Desert Environment

This paper introduces the environmental features of Sahara Desert in Niger,analyzes the main effects of dry and hot environmental condition on electric instruments,equipment and materials,as well as the shortcomings of existing standards and codes in practical applications.Combined with the problems found in engineering practice,it puts forward the matters for attention in type selection of electric instruments,equipment and materials used in dry and hot environmental condition.
