宋代中外经济文化交流日益频繁,并达到了有史以来的极盛。工艺美术堪为解读两宋时期中外经济文化交流成就及其成因的独特视角。两宋时期,城市市民生活有了较大的发展,国内工艺美术发展到很高的成就。经济的发展、科技的进步、海上交通的便利成为宋代扩大对外商品输出尤其是工艺美术品输出的有利因素,工艺美术品遂成为增进中国与周边国家间经济文化交流的重要载体。

The Sino-foreign economic and cultural exchanges in Song Dynasty became frequently and even reached a peak that had never been exposed. During the Northern and Southern Song Dynasty period, the domestic development of arts and crafts ac-quired very high achievement, and the citizen life also gained great development. The perspective of arts and crafts and its causes can be a unique approach to explain the Sino-foreign economic and cultural exchanges during that period. The economic develop- ment, the progress of science and technology and the convenience of marine traffic were favorable factors for the expansion of for-eign goods output, especially the arts and crafts output, which had become an increasingly important carrier of economic and cul-tural exchanges between China and other countries around the world.
