The paper summarized the development status of the library embedded service and the local colleges and universi- ties distinctive research, holded that the embedded services of local colleges and universities iibraries for the distinc- tive research have been showing a diversified development pattern, which canbe summarized into four types as the resource-based embedded, intellectual embedded ,tissue embedded and space embedded：
