在《少年派》的序言里,马特尔不动声色的将真实的自己,即原小说作者马特尔自己转换成了小说的叙述者之一——作家"我",试图打乱叙述者和真实作者的分界线,造成作者即叙述者的假象,混淆真实世界与虚构世界中的"我",使得读者会误以为文本中的作家"我"就是作者本人。这实际上是对"序言"文本的一种解构,一种戏仿,是高度传统与后现代特质的经典融合。
In the prologue of Life of Pie ,Martel technically converts the original author of the novel ,Martel himself , into one of the story narrators-the writer“I ,” .The dividing line will be obscure between the original author and the nar-rator-the writer“I” by confusing “the original author”from the real world and the writer“I”from the fictional world of the“I” ,as a result ,the reader will mistake the writer “I” as the original author .This is actually a text deconstruction and parody of the preface ,which perfectly combines the features of tradition and post-modern .
