EFL teachers are important resources of high education ;therefore their professional quality and professional development have been the hot topics in current education research .By analyzing the connotation of EFL teachers’ profes-sional quality ,the study reveals new findings of its positive effect on professional development .Embodied in professional activities ,EFL teachers’ professional quality is key to professional development ,which won’t occur without constant support of professional quality .
