Discussion on the comprehensive functions of silver ornament of Miao nationality

运用参与观察法、文献资料法、个别访谈法等多种形式,揭示苗族银饰的生理功能、经济功能、社会功能和文化功能;苗族银饰蕴含着丰富的历史文化价值,在传承民族技艺、承载民族历史等方面有着不可替代的作用;只有认真研究苗族银饰,读懂它的文化内涵,釐清它的综合功能,才有可能真正认识苗族,进而弘扬民族优秀传统文化。

This paper reveals the physiological function, economic function, social function and cultural function of silver ornament of Miao nationality by means of participant observation, document research, indi- vidual interviews, and so on. The silver ornament of Miao nationality contains rich historical and cultural val- ues, playing an indispensable role in passing down national technique and inheriting history, etc. Only by se- riously researching the silver ornament of Miao nationality, understanding its cultural connotation, and making clear its comprehensive function of it can we really know Miao nationality and further carry forward excellent traditional national culture.
