基于中国学习者英语语料库的转折连接词分析研究

An Investigation on Adversative Conjunctions—Based on Chinese Learners' English Corpus

连接词在英语写作中起重要作用。文章基于CLEC语料库,对其五个层面的学生写作中的转折连接词使用情况进行调查研究。研究发现,转折连接词部分过多使用,多样性不足;在频数上呈现不均衡分布;从文体上,非正式文体的使用多于正式文体的使用;大学非英语专业低年级学生和大学英语专业高年级学生相比较表现出显著差异。基于研究结果,文章给予相应的建议。

Adversative conjunctions plays an important role in English writing. Based on the Chinese Learner English Corpus （CLEC）, the paper investigates the adversative conjunctions frequency usage on the writings of five level students. The study has found that some adversative conjunctions are overused and lack of diversity. Furthermore, the distribution frequency is in imbalance. From the aspect of style, the informal usage is more than the formal one. Junior non-English major students and senior English major students show significant differences. Because of the research results, the article puts forward the corresponding suggestions.
