摘要
随着翻译研究的文化转向,译者主体性的研究得到了更多关注。从经济伦理学维度,借助美国学者爱德华·弗里曼的利益相关者理论,以诺贝尔文学奖得主莫言的小说《红高粱家族》的英译本为例,分析该译本翻译过程中包括原作者、译者、目标语读者、出版社等各利益相关者的交互影响。通过译者葛浩文,莫言的作品走出了国门,为英语世界的读者所接受,出版社也获益颇丰。葛浩文在发挥其主体性,并力图实现各方利益共赢时采取了诸如省译、增译、变译等翻译策略。
Along with the cultural turn in translation studies,the study of translator's subjectivity has been paid more attention to.Based on the theory of stakeholder proposed by American scholar R.Edward Freeman from the perspective of business ethics,the paper explores the play of translator's subjectivity with a case analysis of the English version of Hong Gaoliang Jiazu,namely Red Sorghum It analyzes the interactive impact of different stakeholders in the process of translating.The translator Ge Haowen makes Mo Yan' s works known by the outside world and makes the works be accepted by readers whose mother tongue is English.Also,the publishing house benefits a lot by publishing Mo Yan's works,Then,it explores Ge Haowen's subjectivity involved and his relevant translation strategies such as omission,addition and variation to reach harmonious relationship among stakeholders.
