唐代传奇在苏联时期被广泛翻译成俄文并且出版。1950-1970年代期间,至少有五种唐代小说的俄文译本,后来各种作品选中的唐代小说俄译文多从这些译本中选出。苏联汉学家对唐代小说的研究成果也颇为丰富,既有论文发表,也有专著问世。对苏联时期的唐代小说翻译和研究成果进行梳理,既是对俄罗斯汉学辉煌历史的尊重,也是对逝去的苏联汉学家的纪念。

The Chinese legendary stories of the Tang dynasty （618 -907 ） were translated in large num- bers into Russian and published in the former USSR. At least five of such stories found their Russian versions during the 1950s -1970s, which have been the source of text for most of Russian anthologies of the Tang-dy- nasty fiction. In addition to translation, the Soviet sinologists have made great achievements in the study of the Tang-dynasty novels, as can be seen in the number of their academic articles and books published. A probe into, and review of, the Russian translations and studies of the ancient Chinese stories in the USSR is, there- fore, the best way to show our respect for Russia＇ s glorious history of sinology as well as to commemorate the late Soviet sinologists.
