摘要
辜鸿铭是近代中国反思教育现代性的思想先驱。他从反思"一战"的教育根源入手,批判现代教育重视智力教育而忽视道德人格教育、批判爱国主义教育的工具化,认为人格教育的缺失和道德教育的工具化是"一战"发生的教育根源。与现代教育相比,辜氏认为儒家传统教育的优点在于重视道德和人格教育,是一种"大人之学"。在中西教育比较视域中,辜氏认为教育应以探寻合乎道德的人生之道为宗旨。
Ku Hong-Ming is the thought pioneer of criticism of educational modernity in modern China. From thinking the root of education during the World War I , Ku Hong-Ming criticized the modern education attached importance on intelligence education and ignored education for personality, and criticized the instrumental tendency of patriotism education, and he argued that the root of education during the World War I was the lack of personality education and the instrumental tendency of moral education. In perspective of comparing modern education with Confucian education, Ku HongMing thought the virtue of Confucius thought of education was its attention on moral and personality education, and it was a kind of "Higher Education" . In the comparison between Chinese and Western education perspective, Ku Hong-Ming concluded that the purpose of education should help people to explore an ethical way of life.
