Breeding of a New Hot Pepper Variety—Xiangla 2

香辣2号是以J43一W为母本，J21一R为父本配制的杂交一代。该品种早中熟，第一始花节位8～11节，果长23～26cm，果径1．8cm，果肉厚0．25C1／1，单果质量20～25g，青果绿色，老熟果鲜红，果面亮泽，辣味香浓，品质好，口感佳。适宜做鲜椒和干红椒，平均每1hm。产量为54～57t。适合全国各地春秋保护地和露地栽培。

Xiangla 2 is a hot pepper F1 hybrid bred by crossing two inbred lines J43-W and J21-R. It is an early mid-mature variety,and grows the first flower at stem node 8 to 11 and its fruit 23 - 26 cm long, 1.8 cm wide,0.25 cm fruit-wall-thick and 20 - 25 g per fruit green or red at maturety,hot and fragrant in taste. It yields 54 - 57 t fresh fruit per hrn2 at the whole harvest. It could be grown in both open and protected field in early spring or over-autumn for fresh and dried fruits production.
