Scale inhibitor becomes more important today along with the increase of the product water during the exploitation of the oil fields. The best way to deal with this problem is to inhibit the formation of the barium sulfate and strontium sulfate scale. This paper has introduced common good polymer barium sulfate scale inhibitors, common chela- ting groups of inhibitors for barium sulfate and strontium sulfate scale, how to synthesize the polymers inhibitor and the best conditions for using.
