Comparative effectiveness research has received considerable attention among the policymakers and medicine related scholars of many countries, and it is the extension of evidence based medicine. Clinical decision-making related information is collected through data mining technology on the basis of health information infrastructure, and prospective clinical studies with large sample are undertaken and clinical outcomes are analyzed to generate new evidence to support the patients and medical institutions to make better clinical choices. Introducing comparative effectiveness research into health system will help standardize the diagnosis and treatment process, and improve medical quality and cost-effectiveness of health service aimed at enhancing the level of whole process health management.
