摘要
以意象图式理论为框架,借助空间隐喻,研究中国学生对英语介词for的习得情况。通过对介词选择填空、英译汉、汉译英及回顾性访谈等所收集的数据进行分析,得出以下结论:1)中国学生对介词for各种引申意义习得情况不佳,未能完全掌握该介词的各个含义,不能准确灵活运用;2)该介词与介词of极易产生混淆使用;3)中国学生在目的语使用中易产生汉语迁移现象。介词for的认知研究对该介词的教与学有启示意义。
This thesis is intended to study the preposition "for"under the theoretical framework of image schema,w ith metaphorical extension.Through the data analysis of gap filling,translation betw een English and Chinese,and retrospective interview,the w riter concluds that 1) Chinese learners don't have good comprehension of the preposition"for",including its extended meaning;2) The preposition "for"easily causes confusion with the preposition "of";3) When using the preposition "for",Chinese learners may be influenced by the transfer of their native language.The cognitive study on the preposition "for"w ill play a practical role in preposition teaching and learning.
