The promotion effect for the vehicle performance and adaptability in the market after several optimization design for Dongfeng Jintailong series of dump truck was analyzed and discussed. By mainly focusing on the positioning for vehicle models of engineering dump truck, and more for using in the operating conditions of plateau area, the configuration and structure were optimally designed. The driving power of whole car, loading ability and market adaptability, and other various aspects before and after the optimization for vehicles were com- pared.
