摘要
本研究采用定量研究方式,对分级分课型英语教学模式下非英语专业研究生进行英语学习动机研究,最终确定9个学习动机因子,并比较各个动机因子对不同课型学习者的影响。结果表明,研究生最重要的英语学习动机为个人发展;同时分级分课型教学有利于因材施教,但仍需兼顾水平较低学生的实际状况,并以公正客观的过程性考核方式评判学生语言能力。
This paper reports on a motivation research of non-English-major postgraduates who were divided into two EFL teaching modules, Listening-Reading-Writing and Watching-Listening-Presenta- tion. A quantitative research method was adopted in this research. Nine motivation factors were iden- tified and the influence of each factor on students from two modules was compared. The results show that: the prime motivation in learning English is self-development while categorizing students into two different modules according to their English proficiencies helps improve students' learning set- tings, but the students' needs and proficiencies are still needed to be taken into consideration in the curriculum.
