The New Slow-Light Effects System Based on LabVIEW and ElvisⅡ

摘要 目前,慢光和超光速的研究很热,并且取得了很大的进展,但有关光速的连续可调方面的研究并不成熟。为改变现状,利用CPO技术,设计了一个新型的光速连续可调实验系统,在掺饵光纤中实现光速的可调性。利用ELVISⅡ产生信号发射源,借助于LabVIEW开发工具对发射模块进行调制,产生实验所需的光信号,经过掺饵光纤传输至接收端,上位机通过LabVIEW进行编程,对接受信号的波形和时延进行分析处理并在上位机实时显示监视。通过测试及分析,结果显示整个系统运行良好、稳定,光速连续可调。 In recent years, researches about the controllable group velocity of light propagation are very popular and have made many progresses. But the researches about continuous adjusting on the speed of the light are not mature. As an attempt to avoid disadvantage, the authors designed a new type experiment to adjust the speed of light in the Erbium-doped fiber with CPO technology. Utilize Elvis Ⅱ to design a signal source, modulate the Transmitter Module by using LabVIEW, and generate optical signals that meet the needs of the experiment. Then the signal passing by Erbium-doped fiber can be col- lected by the data receiver and transferred to PC. After calculating and processing, the time delay and wave forms can be observed on LabVIEW interface. Tests on the experiment system testify that the system can run stably and have well continuous adjustable on the speed of the light.
