2013年9月7日。工友之家在北京皮村新工人剧场内举行首届“新工人杯”文化艺术大奖赛的颁奖仪式。大奖赛而向全国工友征集作品，分为小说、诗歌、散文、口述、原创歌曲、影像、语言类表演及创新文化活动，共8个评选单元，并设置年度奖（8名）、优秀奖（20名）、入围奖（50名）3类奖项。
