Affeetive moaning is the moaning related to the feelings and attitudes of the speaker or the writer. It is one of the most subtle and complicated meanings in semantics, especially in poetry interpretation. From the perspective of translation of affective meaning, this article makes a comparative analysis of the two Chinese versions of Shakespeare＇s 116th sonnet and explores how much the expressive meaning is conveyed in them, hoping to find an effective way for the rendering of expressive meaning in poetry translation.
