Analysis of Democratic League's Mediating Between Kuomintang and CPC

民主革命时期,以民盟为代表的第三方面斡旋于国民党和共产党之间,在呼吁团结抗战与成立民主联合政府,推进重庆谈判与促成政协决议方面发挥了重大作用;但是对东北冲突和南京和谈的调解,则显示出民盟政治上的软弱性与妥协性。

Being a representative as the third side, the Democratic League mediated between Kuomintang and CPC during the democratic revolution. It played a big role in calling for jointly defying Japanese forces＇ invasion, setting up a democratic coalition government, advancing the Chongqing Negotiation and arriving at the resolution of the political consultative conference. However, the Democratic League showed its soft quality and compromise while mediating in the northeast dispute and the Nanjing Negotiation between Kuomintang and CPC.
