Objective: To investigate the relationship among insulin resistance, ApoE gene polymorphism and mild cognitive impairment. Method: 60 cases type 2 diabetes with insulin resistance, which was divided into 24 cases of non-MCI group and 36 cases of MCI group, and 30 healthy objects were tested for the frequency of the ApoE alleles and polymorphism, and analyzed the correlation among them. Result: The results showed that the frequency of the allele of ApoE^4 of MCI group was significantly higher than those in healthy objects group(P〈0.01 ). Insulin resistance index and ApoE genee4 were positively correlated(P〈0. 05 ). Conclusion: There's correlation between insulin resistance, ApoE gene polymorphism and mild cognitive impairment.
