摘要
伯格认为裸女像是观者情欲宣泄的对象,而非肯尼思·克拉克将其视为艺术"形式"的认识。伯格对身体画像所具有情欲性的认识,意在强调观看过程中感性因素的凸显,从而颠覆了形而上的理性原则对身体的统治,将感性的身体置入到了反本质主义的思潮之中。女性的身体由此成为了经验对象,成为了"旁观者思想的产物"。
Berger points out the female nude image is an object of erotic catharsis for the viewer, rather than the art "form" as Kenneth Clark described. Berger is intended to emphasize emotional factors in the process of seeing, and to subvert the metaphysical rational principle about the body, and put the emotional body into the thought of anti-essentialism. "Nakedness is created in the mind of the beholder" by contacting the understanding of female nudes with the viewer.
