汉英语颜色词“蓝”的隐喻认知对比研究

Cognitive Analysis of the Metaphorical Meaning of Color “Blue” between English and Chinese

中西方不同的文化背景和思维方式导致汉英语中颜色词的隐喻意义差异很大。莫言作品《生死疲劳》中的出现的"蓝"并不完全体现汉民族文化中对"蓝"的认知。作品中"蓝"所隐喻的"贵族精神"和"对自由的追求精神"与英语中"蓝"的隐喻意义吻合。从认知语言学的角度对"蓝"隐喻意义的分析,能让中西方读者更好地领略该作品的文学魅力。

Different cultural backgroundand ways of thinking between China and Western countries led to different met- aphorical meaning of color words in Chinese and English. The word ＂blue＂ in Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out by Mo Yan has metaphorical meanings which don^t fully reflect the Chinese cognition of the color ＂blue＂, but it also represents ＂noble spirit＂ and ＂freedom＂, the metaphorical meaning of ＂blue＂ in English. Analysis of the metaphorical meaning of ＂blue＂ Irom the perspective of cognitive linguistics allows readers in China or Western to appreciate literary charm of the works better.
