向秀的《思旧赋》是文学史上的名篇。然而因其行文多所隐晦且言短情深,给后人留下了足够的想象空间,因此关于此赋的主旨历来被诸多揣测。考《思旧赋》写于向秀奉命赴洛之期,亦是其人生转向之际唯一留下的文字,若认为仅仅只是伤时吊友,而无关乎个体内心之波澜变动实为不合常情。向秀通过此赋传递了身处困境的艰难抉择,幽暗曲折的表达了他面对故友的愧疚之情以及作别理想的决绝之态。
