英语报刊阅读是英语学习者提高英语阅读能力、了解英美国家主要信息和文化的重要手段.在进行英语报刊跨文化阅读的过程中,学习者不可避免地会感受到中西方文化间的碰撞。在当前国际社会畅行后现代批判教育的背景下,教师需要积极调动策略,帮助学习者批判地理解中西方文化的差异,化解其感受到的语言和文化冲突,提高跨文化批判阅读理解能力,从而提升英语综合素质。

Reading of English newspaper and Magazines is an important way of improving the learners＇ reading proficiency and their cul-. rural cognition. And during the cross--cultural reading, learners inevitably feel the cultural conflicts between China and the west. Thus in- structors must flexibly use various strategies in helping learners critically study the linguistic difference as well as cultural discrimination against the current background of post-modem critical education. So that the learners＇ cross-cultural reading proficiency and overall qualities may be greatly heightened.
