The Role of Educators in Museum Exhibition Planning and Designing Teams

成功的博物馆展览策划设计,理应是策展人、研究人员、展示设计师和教育工作者集体协作的结果。但在机构的实际操作中,教育工作者的重要作用往往被忽视。在我国博物馆界,这个问题似乎更为严重。因此,我们需要认识到,科学的展览团队的组成究竟是什么样的、团队中各成员应扮演怎样的角色、特别是教育工作者在展览团队中该如何发挥作用等问题。展览策划中积极纳入教育工作者不仅有助于各阶段进程的推进,而且将极大地帮助博物馆推出成功的展览和吸引更多的观众。

A successful museum exhibition planning and designing process depends on the co-efforts of curators, researchers, exhibit designers as well as educators. In the reality, however, the important role of educators is often neglected, which is particularly the ease for Chinese museums. Therefore, it is important to know what members an effective museum exhibition team should cover, what roles each member should play, and in particular how educators should act within the team. To involve educators in the exhibition plan- ning and design process benefits the progressing of the project at each stage. It also helps create successful exhibitions to attract visitors.
