The practical variation situation of the auxiliary steam system under shutdown accident of part of units or all units was introduced. The boiler heat storage capacity,the boiler residual heat and the characteristics of the boiler in hot quick startup or shutdown were analyzed. Several measures for normal operation of the auxiliary steam system were put forward,which are helpful to ensure the auxiliary steam system to operate safely and reliably.
