This paper discussed on the notable achievements in Chinese Traditional Instruments Depart ment in Wuhan Conservatory of Music, such as its history of establishing Department, construction of disci pline, music creation, art practice and other aspects. At the 60th anniversary of the Conservatory and 50th anni versary of the Department, the faculty of Chinese traditional instruments looked back on the past and look to the future with confidence.
