“Shen”and“Creation”in Zhang Zai's Philosophy

"神"与"化"是张载哲学思想体系中的两个重要范畴,包含深刻的思想意蕴。神是对本体依据义的描述,现实世界阴阳、动静都是以天之神为前提;而化则是对其推行的过程的描述,"化"说明本体可以有其"神用"。如此,彰显出天道本体既有其至一性,又非静止孤立的存在。

“Shen”and “Creation”are two important categories in Zhang Zai’s philosophy,which have very profound implications.“Shen”is the description of the noumenon,and the performance of real world is on the basis of “Shen”.“Creation”is description of implementation process of “Shen”, which demonstrates effects of the noumenon.In this way,the noumenon is not only unique but also a non-static and non-isolated existence.
