The first congress of Yunnan was held in Mengzi in October 13th, 1928. The congress is an important meeting in the history of Yunnan Party. However, due to conditions, the first congress of Yunnan is not a great depth. This article described and comment on the historical background of the first congress of Yunnan, the basic situation and its historical status, etc. Its purpose is objective evaluated the first congress of Yunnan and hope that the study is more depth to the first congress of Yunnan through the continuous efforts of academia.
