在认知语义学的图示意像理论、原型范畴理论、隐喻理论帮助下,学习者能够发现介词TO从核心的空间意义,借助隐喻机制,延伸到其他抽象领域,用来表示数量、时间、范围、目的、比较等含义。并进一步说明认知语义学对提高大学英语课堂教学效果,改变教学模式的意义。
Under the guidance of Cognitive Linguistics, including the basic Image Schema Theory, Prototype Theory and Metaphor Theory, it is easier for learners to master the spatial meaning and extension of “TO”. What’s more, Cognitive Linguistics is extremely helpful to the reform of College English teaching.
