刍议传统中国社会的民间公益观念

Discussion on Public Service Concept in China

在传统差序格局社会里,人与人存在相互的义务。与差序格局对应,这种义务感存在"爱有差等"的特质,而对于乡土内人群的公益是爱有差等的应有之义。乡土公益是传统社会化解风险的制度设计。现代化进程中日益坐大的国家与市场等冲击民间社会,也削弱了民间公益观念。当今风险社会环境下,宜适度削弱国家及市场,重建社群,在新形势下适度重建民间公益观念及其实践。

In traditional Chinese society, people have mutual obligations with ＂the differentiation of love＂. For people living in local community, the public service spirit is the inherent meaning of ＂ the differentiation of love＂. Public service in community can reduce dangers in a traditional society. As the nation and market grow in the process of modemization, the spirit of public service in local community has been weakened. Under the current situation, we should shift the focus on concept of nation and market; we should instead follow the spirit and practice of public service in local cornmunlty.
