Analysis of LTE/LTE-A Essential Patents Disclosed by ETSI

本文根据ETSI披露的LTE/LTE-A基本专利数据信息,从优先权年度申请量、各企业专利披露量和不同国别的专利披露量等方面进行统计分析。分析表明,各企业积极参与并相互制衡,导致LTE/LTE-A的交叉许可难度增大,风险进一步增加。

Based on the ETSI disclosed LTE/LTE-A essential patent database, this paper analyzes the distribution situation of LTE/LTE-A patents with re- gard to priority-annuM-filing number, patent disclo- sure number by enterprises and patent disclosure number of patent holders by countries. Analysis re- suits reveal that various enterprises are actively par- ticipating the LTE patent competition. The balance situation leads to increased difficulty of cross-licens- ing and risk.
