摘要
以聚乙烯(PE)管道热熔接头为检测对象,使用微波扫描和真密度测试的方法研究热熔接头中的冷焊缺陷。首先对无缺陷的热熔接头进行微波扫描检测,得到的微波扫描图像作为参考;然后对不同焊接条件下得到的含有冷焊缺陷的热熔接头进行微波扫描检测,得到具有不同特征的扫描图像。对这些扫描图像进行分析,可以判别导致聚乙烯管道热熔接头冷焊缺陷的焊接工艺问题。利用真密度方法对不同热熔接头进行了测试,测试结果验证了微波扫描法对聚乙烯管道热熔接头冷焊缺陷检测的有效性和可靠性。
Microwave scanning and true density techniques were employed to investigate the cold weld de- fect existing in the thermo - fusion welds of polyethylene (PE) piping. The thermo- fusion welds without defects were firstly inspected by microwave scanning. The resultant microwave scanning images were taken as the references. Then the thermo - fusion welds containing cold weld defects formed under different welding conditions were inspected , and the corresponding scanning images were recorded. The welding problems that lead to the cold weld defects can be distinguished by analyzing the scanning images. True density tests were conducted for different thermo - fusion welds, the results of which confirm the effective- ness and reliability of microwave scanning in detecting the cold weld defects in the thermo - fusion welds of PE piping.
