客家是我国中原汉族中的一支重要民系,以操客家方言为其主要特征。客家民系和客家话的形成与南方客居地土著居民直接相关。中原汉人则向南方带去了当时较发达的中原汉文化。客家人文丰富,社会传统经久不衰,民居风俗代代相传。深入挖掘和弘扬客家人文精华,对建立现代中国和谐社会有积极的现实意义。

Hakka is one important people department of Han nationality, mainly characterized by speaking Hakka dialect. The formation of Hakka people and Hakka dialect has directly related to the visitors residing in the south. Han nationality in the Central Plains of China brings their more advanced Han culture to the south. Hakka humanities are rich, with enduring social tradition and folk customs handed down from age to age. A deep exploration and wide spreading of the essence of Hakka humanities is of great practical signif- icance to the establishment of a modem harmonious society in China.
