The true beauty lies not only in the outward appearance but also in the inner state. The paper discusses the perception of the clay figure beauty from the aspects of shape and spirit. Excellent pottery is a good expression of modeling techniques, entirety and volume. They help to create a fluent exchange between the viewer and the clay figures, and to produce the beauty appreciation in the viewer＇s mind.
