Nature has been the most important part in the architectural design of Paolo Portoghesi since 1980's. His works are called natural architecture. He does not try to keep the balance between the building and the surrounding, such as F. L. Wright's Following Water, to take the beautiful landscape into the building, such as Mies van der Rohe's Farnsworth House. In his works, the inspiration of nature can be found.
