A variety of α Fe nanowire arrays are electrochemically produced in track etched polymer membranes. The structural characteristics of the samples are investigated by the measurements of Mossbauer spectrum at the room temperature. The results show that the α Fe nanowire array in track etched polymer membranes have an obvious super paramagnetic behaviour indicating that the porous size affects the morphology of α Fe strongly.
