It was found that the floret of A 3 cytoplasmic male sterility line was not abortion. A set of dwarf, large spike and more grains, strong combining ability, and stable fertility A 3 cytoplasmic male sterility line was bred; the restorer line of A 3 sterile line was found; heterobeltiosis hybrid was bred; and the breeding method of A 3 cytoplasmic male sterility line was discussed.
