The operation principle, structural features and application effects of demonstration and popularization of lateral connecting equipment for SS 3 electric locomotive bogies were stated. The theoretical analysis of SS 3B locomotive bogies after installation of lateral connecting equipment was conducted. It was suggested that this equipment be installed in SS 3B electric locomotives.
