The common construction designs in petroleum and chemical construction, expansion and reconstruction project include compressor workshop, pump room, power distribution, control room, laboratory, complex building, and so on. The construction design of the compressor workshop among them is the most common and the most representative. It covers almost all related petrochemical building design specification, standard and atlas. In this paper, the construction design of the compressor workshop was introduced. Some problems about the fire zone division, safety evacuation, explosion-proof in the design were discussed.
