简要论述了第一次全国水利普查对全面盘点广西水利家底、促进改革创新、支撑广西水利科学发展的意义,介绍了广西第一次水利普查的主要成果,提出了开发利用普查成果,加快基础水信息平台建设、实现水利信息化,提升管理水平的构想。

The first census for water resources had been conducted in Guangxi, which is one of the components of the first China census for water. The author discussed the meaning of water census in overall checking the water re sources of Guangxi, promoting reform and innovation, supporting scientific development of water conservancy in Guangxi; presented the major achievements of this census; and put forward the concept of accelerating construc tion of infrastructure water information platform, realizing water informatization, improving management level by development and utilization of the water census results.
