A study is report0d of the stability of whiteness occuring when a wool fabric bleached withreducers and after-treated by steaming,daylighting,soaking in acid bath,heat treating and repea-ted washing,It has been shown that the acetylation of wool considerably reduces the yellowingof wool by heating,The rclated data are.also introduced of peroxide bleaching,repeated bleachingwith oxidizing/reductant agents and bleaching-whitening.
