论唐诗中的模糊数词翻译

On the Translation of Fuzzy Numerals in the Poetry of the Tang Dynasty

模糊数词在中国古诗词尤其是唐诗中的应用非常广泛,对诗词审美有重要作用,因此其翻译准确与否直接影响译作的质量。通过对许渊冲英译的《唐诗三百首》研究发现,在读者接受、文化传输、兼顾形式的原则下,模糊数词的翻译可以采用直译、省略数词、改变数词、使用尾韵、词语叠用、解释说明等方法进行翻译。

Fuzzy numerals, widely used in ancient Chinese poetry, especially in the poetry of the Tang Dynasty, play an im- portant role in poetry appreciation. Therefore, the accuracy of numeral translation has a direct effect on poetry ＇ s translation quali- ty. Through the research of 300 Tang Poems translated by XU Yuan-chong, it can be found that literal translation, omission and change of numerals, employment of rhymes, reduplication and explanation can be used in the translation of fuzzy numerals, con- sidering readers＇ reception, cultural transmission and forms of poetry.
